About Me
I assume if you are reading this page you want to know a little more about me, this page will most likely give you more information that you ever wanted!
I am Michael E. Crute Jr, I was born and raised in Ohio around the Akron/Medina area. I currently live in a small town called Homerville a little west of Lodi. Small town living is kind of fun until you start spending $80+ on gasoline to get to work. Thus I am looking to purchase a house in Akron close to work and school.
I have two sisters, Michelle and Randi, whom I love dearly though they may get on my nerves more often than not. The picture above here is of Randi and I in the Mangroves at the Everglades.
I am currently attending the University of Akron attempting to earn a degree in computer science. This will be my third year in college, though the first year doesn’t count since I changed majors. I graduated from Medina Christian Academy and previously attended Black River Schools as well.
I currently work as a web designer for ExxonMobil Chemical Company, a job that I really enjoy. It gives me a chance to meet people that you would normally never meet, really smart people. I also work for the Akron Area Board of Realtors as a network administrator and for the Centralized Real Estate Information Systems company as a web designer. Whenever I get time I do consulting work on the side.
In my personal life I enjoy learning new programming languages, tackling all kinds of programming challenges, and skiing (which I hope to do more often). Additionally I enjoy theatrical lighting and sound and at times I have been known to dabble in recording.
I am an avid Linux user and currently use Gentoo Linux with an Enlightenment desktop. I am willing to help Linux users insofar as I can. Just drop me an email and I will try to answer your questions. The same deal goes for programming questions.
I consider myself to be a Christian and attend the Chapel in Akron where I actively participate in the worship and music department as a lighting designer for Sunday morning services. I encourage everyone who happens to be in Akron on Sunday to come join us for a service.
That about sums up my life, I tend to keep very busy and enjoy every moment of it. If you are interested you can check out my music collection or drop me an email.
