The Talk Has Landed
I recently got my installation of Talk in Gmail and I must say: dang Google, you guys have outdone yourselves. It is really amazing what they have done by taking the talk service and integrating it with Gmail. Now you can chat with your friends right from your inbox.
Perhaps the most amazing thing about it is how easy it is to use. Unlike other web chat services Gmail sticks to the bottom of your screen, has the blinking orange “you’s gots messages” alert, a full buddy list, and no lag. I really couldn’t ask for more. If you don’t have a Gmail acount yet you should get one.
This is also the final move for me, I think I am going to abandon AIM for good. It’s too hard to use (i.e. you must install the client on your computer). Seeing how I am never around my computer its also pretty pointless.
