I am happy to post that the company I co-founded is growing and we are ready to hire two part-time positions. We need an artist/layout designer and a PHP programmer. If you are or know fun loving people that do well in a self-managed enviroment we want to hear from you.
Artists, we need somebody with a good sense of design and in-depth knowledge of Photoshop, XHTML and CSS. You should be very comfortable working with the latest W3C standards and also have a good understanding of browser quirks. You will need to be able to take a concept from paper all the way to HTML. We may also consider artists only (not layout designers) so if you think you meet most of the criteria let us know.
Programmers, our primary programming language is PHP 5, you must have an excellent understanding of PHP 5 and object oriented programming in general. Additionally, you should have an understanding of XHTML and JavaScript with the ability to build templates for open-source and in-house applications. A knowledge of version control is important, specifically Subversion. Helpful but optional skills would be an understanding of Linux, AJAX design patterns, and an understanding of Python code.
