It took some time but Google finally won their case against the government. This is a great success for both Google and everyone that uses their search engine. The request from the government was pretty bogus in any case, how is a sampling of the search results for everyone over the span of a week going to help them tell how well filters are working to block porn from kids, seriously now, there has to be a better way to find this out without needing to see the search results of everyone on Google.

The judge also worried that the Justice Department might try to pursue a separate criminal investigation if it received search requests like "bomb placement white house."

It is nice to see our legal system working for our benefit here. Also big kudos to Google for standing up for what is right instead of just bending over and taking it like all the other search engines. Just another reason that people should use Google.
