Taking the Leap

Well its happened. After being faithful to ExxonMobil for a year and a half with the hope there was a job at the end of the tunnel I have given up hope and found another job. Effective January 8, 2007 I will now be working for a web design company called Eyemg in Akron. I'm really excited for a lot of reasons, mainly because this is my dream job at a small company (big company life gets old fast) but an added bonus is that I finally have no need to use Windows ever again.

Which leads to another leap I am taking, converting my life to Macintosh. I have long been a believer that Apple hardware is the pinnacle of engineering genius in computer hardware. Their stuff is just so well thought out, even down to the smallest detail. I'm quickly starting to realize that this attention to detail carries over to their software too. Don't get me wrong, I'm still a huge fan of open source software and continue to use it on my Mac but I'm seriously thinking about switching my primary OS to Mac.

Also, I will be learning Perl as part of my new job... this should be interrestng.

In any case I hope that these changes will allow me to get some more blogging done. After the holidays are past us I should be able to do a little more blogging and catch back up. I have another analysis of Vista vs Mac OS coming up. Look for it later.
