Well it looks like the real reason behind the lawsuits against Linux by SCO is actually because Linux is taking too much of the Unix market. So let me get this straight, a superior competitor to your product emerges in a fast-paced market so instead of innovating you try to sue the competitor and their clients out of business. While that all sounds fine and good from a lazy point of view it just doesn't sound legal, does it?
If you are a company that is going to do what SCO did why in the heck would you go and run your mouth about it to the media like that? If I where Judge Kimball I would add an extra couple million dollars to the fine just as a stupidity surcharge after that article.
In that same vein, I'm going to start a betting pool. I bet that Daryl McBride gets fired before the end of the year. Any takers?
